The Barlovento apartments in Alcossebre occupy a residential block in the centre of Alcocéber, very close to the sea. Where is the Barlovento building
The Barlovento building is in the Cargador and centre of Alcossebre area, the coastal core of Alcalà de Xivert (Castellón), about 150 metres from the sea. It stands next to the Mare Nostrum building, near the seafront promenade and the Cargador and Romana beaches, linked by the wooden walkway of the Senda Litoral.
It is a town-centre location: beach, shops and restaurants within walking distance.
What the building is like
It is a residential apartment block. Shared facilities such as a pool or lift are not mentioned in the sources we checked, so we cannot confirm them.
As for tourist rentals, the Lloguers Altamar agency offers apartments in the building, with a TripAdvisor listing that has no reviews yet. On Booking only a single unit appears, and the building's Google listing has no reviews. For that reason, as of October 2026 there are no public reviews of the building that we can summarise.
What's nearby
- Cargador beach: Alcossebre's main beach, about 850 by 70 metres, fine sand, a dune system with sea daffodils and an uninterrupted Blue Flag since 1987. It is fully accessible and has a sailing club and paddle surf hire.
- Romana beach: 500 metres of fine sand, accessible and with a Blue Flag in 2026, reached along the Senda Litoral.
- Town centre: seafront promenade, restaurants, shops, the Tourist Info office in Plaza Vistalegre and the Tuesday evening market in season.
- Serra d'Irta: north of the town, the Serra d'Irta Natural Park has easy trails from Cala Blanca and the lighthouse, such as route 2 (12.8 km) or the red route (8.5 km). In summer, driving to its coast requires reserving a space in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
How to get there
Take the AP-7, exit 44 (Alcossebre-Torreblanca), or the N-340 and CV-142 to Alcossebre. Castellón is about 50 km away, Valencia about 120 km, Zaragoza about 255 km and Madrid about 465 km.
