The Mallorca apartments in Alcossebre are an apartment building in the Cargador area, in the centre of Alcocéber, with a communal pool and good-sized homes. There is less public information about it than about other complexes in the village, because it only has its own reviews on Booking, so on this page we carefully gather what is known: location, what the apartments are like and what guests say.

Where the Mallorca building is
The Mallorca building is in the Cargador and centre of Alcossebre area, the coastal core of Alcalà de Xivert (Castellón). It is very close to the Bovalar complex, in the same residential area of the centre, with Cargador beach, restaurants and supermarkets a short distance away according to guests.

Location is the best-rated aspect of the building: 8.5 out of 10 on Booking. Guests also comment that it is easy to park in the area, which is not the case on every street in the centre.
Advantages of the area:
- Beach, restaurants and supermarkets nearby.
- Easy parking, according to several reviews.
- Residential area of the centre, with the seafront promenade and the Senda Litoral close at hand.
Drawbacks:
- It is not on the front line: do not expect sea views.
- In high season, the centre has more people and traffic.

What the Mallorca complex is like
Mallorca is an apartment block with a communal pool and garden. What guests highlight most is the size of the apartments: they are spacious, with a living room and terrace, and the ground-floor ones also have a patio. On Google, the Casa Azahar apartment is listed as a three-bedroom type, and the photos show homes spread over two floors, with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, a living room with a fireplace and terraces on both levels.
Equipment mentioned in the listing and reviews:
- access to the communal pool;
- air conditioning and fans in the bedrooms;
- terrace and, on the ground floor, patio;
- wifi;
- parking in the area;
- options for families.
An important detail: the interior stairs of the two-floor apartments are steep, and some guests consider them unsafe with small children. If you are travelling with children or older people, ask when booking.

The building also appears on some platforms under the name "Mallorca by Azahar Stay", which corresponds to another operator. The reviews on this page refer to the Booking listing of the Casa Azahar apartments.
What guests think of the Mallorca apartments
7.7/10 weighted average across booking sites · 39 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 7.2/10 | 23 |
| 4.2/5 | 16 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
Mallorca has few sources of reviews and it is worth knowing where each score comes from:
- Booking.com (7.2/10, 23 reviews) is the only listing with reviews of the building itself. Its sub-scores: location 8.5, staff 8.8, cleanliness 7.8, comfort 7.4, facilities 7.3 and value for money 7.3.
- Google (4.2/5, 16 reviews) is not a listing with Google reviews, but a holiday rental advertisement (three-bedroom apartment type) that shows an aggregate score of 16 reviews from travel websites. That is why its weight is limited.
- We have not found listings for Mallorca on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas.
What guests like most. The space: guests describe very spacious apartments, with a living room, terrace and, on the ground floor, patio. They also value access to the communal pool, the air conditioning and fans in the bedrooms, the proximity to the beach, restaurants and supermarkets, and how easy it is to park. The service from the agency staff, resourceful when problems arise, has one of the best sub-scores (8.8).
What is criticised. The state of repair is the dominant complaint. Several guests describe very dated apartments (bathrooms, woodwork, living room furniture) and maintenance shortcomings, such as doors that rub or sanitary ware and light fittings in poor condition. Also recurring are the steep interior stairs, uncomfortable beds, pillows and sofa bed, uneven cleaning and limited pool hours.
The guest profile is Spanish families and groups.
Our assessment
Mallorca offers a lot of space in the centre of Alcocéber, with a pool and a good location, but its apartments need updating. It is an option for those who value square metres over finishes.
Strengths
- Very spacious apartments, with terrace and a patio on the ground floor.
- Communal pool.
- Close to Cargador beach, restaurants and supermarkets.
- Easy parking according to guests.
- Resourceful service from the agency.
Weak points
- Dated interiors and maintenance that could be better.
- Steep interior stairs in the two-floor apartments.
- Uncomfortable beds and sofa bed.
- Few published reviews, almost all from a single portal.
Ideal for. Groups of friends and families with older children who need several bedrooms and space to be together. If you are travelling with small children, the interior stairs are a factor to consider; if you want something more modern, look at the alternatives below. Like all Casa Azahar buildings, it does not accept pets.

Tips before booking at Mallorca
- Ask about the layout. If the apartment is on two floors, bear in mind the interior stairs.
- Check the pool hours. Some guests consider them limited.
- Bring a pillow if you are particular. The beds and pillows receive criticism.
- Make use of the car. Parking in the area is easy, so you can combine Cargador beach with trips to the Sierra de Irta or the coves.
Surroundings and things to do from Mallorca
Beaches. Cargador beach measures about 850 by 70 metres, is fine sand, fully accessible and has had a Blue Flag continuously since 1987. In addition to its dune system with sea daffodils, it offers a sailing club and paddle surf hire. Along the Senda Litoral you reach Playa Romana, of 500 metres, and to the north you have Les Fonts beach, with freshwater springs that bubble up in the sand.
Sierra de Irta. The Serra d'Irta Natural Park, declared in 2002, begins north of the village. From Cala Blanca and the lighthouse start easy routes such as route 2 (12.8 km to the Font de la Parra) or the red route (8.5 km), and by bike the Ruta del Cranc follows the coastal track to Peñíscola. In summer, to access the park's coast by car you have to book a place in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
In the village and surroundings. The seafront promenade, the Tuesday afternoon market in season and the tourist office in Plaza Vistalegre are close by. About 9 km away is Alcalà de Xivert, with the 68-metre octagonal bell tower of the church of San Juan Bautista.
When to go to Mallorca
The building is designed for summer, when the communal pool is open and Cargador beach has all its services. According to AEMET, at the nearest reference station average highs are around 29-30 °C in summer, and the sea is around 25 °C in midsummer. As the apartments have air conditioning and fans in the bedrooms, the heat is easier to bear than in other buildings in the area. June and September are good months if you want fewer people on the beach and in the restaurants, and at Easter the village already has atmosphere, although the water is still too cold for swimming.

| Mare Nostrum | Right in the centre, 3 bedrooms for 8 | 7.0/10 |
| San Benet | Comfortable, very highly rated apartments | 8.9/10 |
If you are hesitating between Mallorca and Bovalar, which are a few steps apart, the choice usually depends on what weighs more: the space at Mallorca or the lift and higher scores at Bovalar.
