The Arcos II apartments in Alcossebre, also known as Arcos II studios or Arcos 2, are one of the complexes with the most reviews in the Las Fuentes area. Their appeal is simple: practical studios on a gated estate with a pool, with the beach, the marina and services a short walk away. Casa Azahar manages a good part of the studios; in the same complex the operator Marineu also rents apartments.

Where are the Arcos II apartments
Arcos II is in the Las Fuentes area, the tourist district in the north of Alcossebre that spreads around the marina. From the complex you reach Las Fuentes beach in a few steps, and the marina is about 250 metres away.
Las Fuentes beach (Les Fonts) is about 400 metres long and 40 wide, with fine sand. Its most curious feature is the freshwater springs that rise in the sand itself, coming from an old underground aquifer. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, ramps, a children's area and equipment hire. Unlike the Carregador or Romana, it does not have a Blue Flag in 2026.
The best of the area, according to guests:
- Everything close at hand: supermarket, bars and restaurants a few minutes' walk away.
- Beach and marina on foot, without depending on the car during your stay.
- Free parking in the area, which several reviews mention.
Worth bearing in mind:
- In summer there is entertainment within the complex itself: perfect with children, less so if you are looking for absolute silence.
- Carregador beach, the town's main beach, is farther away than Las Fuentes; to go to Romana or El Moro, the car or a good walk is the practical option.

What the Arcos II complex is like
Arcos II is a block of studios within a fenced estate, with well-kept lawns and two pools: one for adults and one for children. In summer, guests talk about entertainment and a summer cinema in the grounds, a plus for anyone travelling with children. Out of season, the pool stays closed (Booking marks it as "temporarily unavailable").
The studios managed by Casa Azahar sleep up to 4 people. They are compact spaces: a living room with a sofa bed, a sleeping area and a terrace. Several reviews say the bedroom is separated from the living room only by a curtain, something to bear in mind if you travel with children who go to bed early. Among the services mentioned on the portals are air conditioning (or fans, depending on the studio), wifi and a terrace.
Towels are not included, and the welcome basics are scarce, according to guests: it is best to bring them. As in all Casa Azahar buildings, pets are not allowed.

With almost 380 reviews across Booking, Google, Tripadvisor and Central de Reservas, Arcos II has one of the largest samples in Alcossebre. The summary is clear: a very good location and simple studios that need some upkeep.
What guests like most
- The location: 9.1 on Booking and 9.0 on Central de Reservas. Las Fuentes beach and the marina are a few minutes away, and so are the supermarket, bars and restaurants.
- The estate: fenced, with two pools and well-kept lawns.
- The atmosphere, quiet and family-friendly, with entertainment in summer.
- The staff's attitude, with an 8.8 on Booking, the second-highest sub-score.
What is most criticised
- The size of the studios, with the bedroom separated only by a curtain.
- Sleep quality: some guests point out that the sofa bed and mattresses are uncomfortable.
- Damp or drain smells in bathrooms and wardrobes, mentioned in several reviews.
- Upkeep: stains, few sockets or broken parts in some studios. On Central de Reservas, facilities drop to 5.5.
- Towels and basics, which are not included.
- In isolated cases, some complaints about cancellations after a price error in the booking.
How to read the ratings. The Google listing is Casa Azahar's and concentrates the largest number of reviews (222). On Tripadvisor, the Casa Azahar listing has only 2 reviews, which is why its 1/5 barely moves the average. There is also a generic Arcos II listing on Tripadvisor, not in the table, with 2/5 from 11 reviews: almost all are from 2015 to 2017, and the most recent, from 2025, complains about the closed pool and some building work. As there is another operator in the complex, each studio may be in a different condition.

Our assessment
Arcos II is a practical, well-located option for a few beach days in Las Fuentes without taking the car. It is not a spacious or designer apartment, and the reviews make that clear, but it makes up for it with the gated estate, the two pools and the services on foot.
Strengths
- Las Fuentes beach and the marina a few steps away; supermarket and restaurants close by.
- Fenced estate with an adult and a children's pool and green areas.
- Family atmosphere, with entertainment and a summer cinema in season.
- Well-rated staff.
Weaknesses
- Small studios, not very suitable for anyone who needs privacy or a lot of space.
- Uneven upkeep depending on the studio, with complaints about damp.
- No towels included.
Who it is ideal for
- Couples looking for a simple base next to the beach and the marina.
- Families with one or two small children who value the children's pool and the fenced grounds.
- Solo travellers or short stays, because of the balance between location and size.
If there are four adults or a family with older children, you will probably be more comfortable in an apartment with a separate bedroom; you have options in the alternatives at the end.

Tips for staying at Arcos II
- Bring towels for the bathroom and the beach, and some cleaning basics for the first few days.
- Ask about the specific studio if damp or the state of the sofa bed worries you: as there are different owners, it changes from one to another.
- Travelling in season has advantages here: open pools, entertainment and a summer cinema. Out of season, the pool is closed, but the beach and the marina are still a step away.
- Make use of the free parking in the area: once parked, you can forget about the car.
Around the area and things to do from Las Fuentes
- Las Fuentes marina: it has 283 berths and is home to the Club de Vela Alcossebre, with a sailing school. From the marina leave diving trips to the Columbretes Islands and boat and jet-ski hire.
- Beaches: besides Las Fuentes, you can go to the Carregador (850 m of sand, seafront promenade and a Blue Flag since 1987) and, along the Senda Litoral, to Romana beach.
- Serra d'Irta: the Serra d'Irta Natural Park begins to the north, at the lighthouse and Cala Blanca. From there start route 2 to Cala Cubanita (12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc, the coastal bike track to Peñíscola (13.2 km). The park's coves have no lifeguards or services, and in summer driving to the coast requires reserving a space in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
- Inland: Alcalà de Xivert, about 9 km away, with its 68 m bell tower; and Xivert Castle, high in the mountains.
