The Casablanca apartments in Alcossebre occupy one of the few residential complexes on Romana beach that face the sea directly: between the building and the sand there is only a street. It is a complex recognisable by its palm trees and white domes, which Casa Azahar markets alongside other operators in the area.

Where Residencial Casablanca is
Residencial Casablanca is at the southern end of Alcossebre's tourist area, in the Romana beach zone, with its address at Carrer dels Quatre Termes, 2, next to Camí l'Atall. The portal listings place it "facing the beach" and guests confirm it: you just cross the street to be on the sand.
Romana beach is about 500 metres long by 40 wide, with fine sand, accessible, and has a Blue Flag in 2026. To the north, a wooden walkway, the Senda Litoral, links it with Carregador beach (El Cargador), the town's main beach, with 850 metres of sand, a seafront promenade and a Blue Flag every year since 1987. To the south are El Moro beach, also with a Blue Flag, and the Tres Platges coves.
What the area has in its favour:
- A beach without a car: it is the most appreciated aspect across all portals. The location sub-score on Booking is 9.4 out of 10.
- A quiet residential atmosphere, away from the nightlife of the centre.
- A walk to Carregador along the Senda Litoral.
And what is worth knowing:
- Several guests comment that there are few shops in the surroundings: a supermarket and a restaurant or two. For large shopping trips or dinners with more choice, the usual thing is to head to the centre.

What the complex is like
Residencial Casablanca is a multi-storey apartment complex around a shared area with a pool and a palm garden. The pool is seasonal: it opens in the summer months and Booking marks it as "temporarily unavailable" outside those dates. In summer guests mention that it has a lifeguard, and the ground-floor flats have direct access to the pool area.
According to the Casa Azahar listing, the apartments it markets are:
| Type | Capacity |
|---|---|
| 2 bedrooms | 4 to 6 guests |
| 3 bedrooms | 5 to 7 guests |
Many have a terrace or balcony with sea views, one of the features most repeated in reviews, as is the brightness of the apartments. The portals also mention wifi and family rooms.
What you should not expect, according to the reviews themselves: a dishwasher, hair dryer or towels included. It is advisable to bring bath and beach towels, or ask when booking whether they can be rented. As in all Casa Azahar buildings, pets are not allowed.

With more than 400 reviews spread across five portals, Residencial Casablanca has a fairly clear image: excellent location and apartments that need updating.
What is most appreciated
- The front-row position. It is the most repeated comment. On Booking the location scores 9.4; on Atrápalo, 9.1; and on Central de Reservas, 8.7.
- The sea views from spacious terraces and balconies.
- The pool, with a lifeguard in season and direct access from the ground floor.
- The peace and quiet of the residential setting.
- The staff's service, with 8.1 on Booking.
What is most criticised
- Dated apartments. Many guests point out that bathrooms and furniture need renovating. The facilities (6.9) and comfort (7.1) sub-scores on Booking reflect this.
- Sleep quality. Complaints about uncomfortable sofa beds and mattresses repeat.
- Basic equipment: scarce kitchenware, no dishwasher or hair dryer and no towels.
- Weak value for money in high season (6.7 on Booking): those who come in July or August are more demanding about the condition of the apartment.
- Early check-out time, mentioned by some guests.
How to read these scores. In the same complex several operators rent out apartments (Casa Azahar, Lloguers Altamar and Apartamentos 3000, among others), and each apartment belongs to a different owner, so the condition can vary quite a lot from one to another. The table gathers the Casa Azahar listings on Booking, Tripadvisor, Atrápalo and Central de Reservas, and the general listing for the complex on Google, which adds up reviews from all operators. On Tripadvisor, the Casa Azahar listing has only one review, a complaint about a discount, and so its score (2/5) weighs very little in the average; there is also a generic "Residence Casablanca" listing, covering the whole complex, with 2.5/5 and 27 reviews, many of them old. Atrápalo has only four reviews.

Our assessment
Residencial Casablanca is, above all, a location. Few rentals in Alcossebre let you go down to a Blue Flag beach by crossing a street and come back to the apartment for lunch with a towel over your shoulder. In return, the interior of many apartments is not up to date, and it is worth knowing that before booking.
Strengths
- Right on the front row of Romana beach, with sea views from many terraces.
- Pool with a lifeguard in season.
- 2 and 3-bedroom apartments for families and groups of up to 7 people.
- Quiet area, with no night noise.
Weaknesses
- Dated interiors and sleep quality that could be better, according to many reviews.
- Basic equipment: no dishwasher or towels.
- Few services within walking distance apart from the beach.
Ideal for
- Families with children who want beach and pool without taking the car.
- Groups of friends or several generations who need three bedrooms facing the sea.
- Couples or older people looking for peace and quiet and walks along the Senda Litoral, especially in June or September.
If a renovated apartment matters more to you than the front row, look at the alternatives at the end.
Tips before booking at Casablanca
Based on what guests repeat, these are the questions worth asking, or the things worth bringing, if you choose Residencial Casablanca:
- Ask about the orientation and the floor. Not all apartments have the same view: terraces facing the sea are the most positively mentioned.
- Ask whether the apartment has been renovated. As each home belongs to a different owner, the condition of bathrooms, mattresses and sofas changes from one to another.
- Bring towels, bath and beach, and a hair dryer if you need one: according to reviews, they are not included.
- Plan your shopping. With only one supermarket nearby, many guests do a big shop on arrival.
- If you travel outside summer, bear in mind that the pool is seasonal. In return, Romana beach and the Senda Litoral are much quieter.
- Work out the check-out time carefully, which several guests consider early, especially if a long journey home awaits you.
