The Jardines del Puerto apartments in Alcossebre form a residence on the front line of Las Fuentes beach, right next to the marina. It is one of the few complexes in Alcocéber where you step out of the entrance and are already on the seafront promenade. Casa Azahar, the town's local agency, manages apartments in this residence; other operators also rent them, which is why it appears under different names on each portal.

Where the Jardines del Puerto apartments are
The Jardines del Puerto residence is in the Las Fuentes area, the northern end of the urban centre of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón), next to the Las Fuentes marina and facing the beach of the same name.

Las Fuentes beach (Les Fonts) is a fine-sand beach about 400 m long and 40 m wide. Its most unusual feature is that freshwater springs rise from the sand itself, coming from an ancient underground aquifer. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, foot showers, ramps, a children's area and equipment hire.
The marina has about 283 berths and is the headquarters of the Alcossebre Sailing Club. Boat trips set off from it, some to the Columbretes Islands.
Advantages of the area:
- Beach, promenade and marina on foot, without taking the car.
- A quieter atmosphere than the centre.
- Shops nearby, as guests highlight.
- Direct way out to the north, the Sierra de Irta and its coves.
Drawbacks worth knowing:
- In summer parking in the area is difficult; that is why guests value the residence's parking so much.
- Some reviews mention occasional night noise, from nearby nightlife and from neighbours.
- The centre and Cargador beach are somewhat further away than from the complexes in the town centre.

What the Jardines del Puerto residence is like
Jardines del Puerto is an apartment residence with generous shared areas. What comes up most in the listings and reviews is this:
- A large pool and a children's pool, with hydromassage and a lifeguard according to guests.
- Very well-kept gardens around the swimming area.
- Parking included: the Casa Azahar listing says it is free and reviews talk about underground spaces.
- Terraces with views from many apartments.
- Spacious, bright apartments, with duplexes that work well for groups.
- Towels and bed linen, according to the services the portals mention.
A practical detail: according to reviews, the building has no lift. If you are travelling with a lot of luggage, a pushchair or older people, ask about the apartment's floor when booking.
Reviews of the Jardines del Puerto apartments
8.6/10 weighted average across booking sites · 57 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |

| 4.6/5 | 22 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
Before reading the figures, an important clarification: the complex's Booking listing is not the Casa Azahar one, but that of another operator (Lloguers Altamar) that rents apartments in the same residence. The Google listing does correspond to Casa Azahar's Jardines del Puerto apartments. Therefore, the scores speak about the building and its surroundings, but service, cleanliness and equipment may vary depending on who rents you the apartment. We have found no listing on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas.
With that caveat, the picture is good and fairly consistent across portals: 8.3/10 on Booking and 4.6/5 on Google.
What guests like most.Location is the highest point: 9.4 out of 10 on Booking. Guests highlight the front line, the views from the terrace and the nearness of shops. Next come staff (9.3) and facilities (9.0): the gardens and pool area appear in almost all the positive reviews, as does the included parking in an area where parking costs money. Good communication with the agency and ease of arriving late are also appreciated.
What is criticised.Comfort is the lowest sub-score (7.8). The recurring complaints are about equipment, not location: some guests miss more kitchenware, a dishwasher or a hairdryer; others find the mattresses and pillows could be better or see the decor as somewhat dated. A minimal supply of cleaning products, soap and paper, the lack of a lift and some night noise are also mentioned.
In short: the residence is liked for where it is and its shared areas; the criticisms focus on the interior of some apartments, which depends on each owner and operator.

Tips before booking at Jardines del Puerto
The portal reviews leave several useful clues for choosing the right apartment:
- Pay attention to who is renting to you. Several operators work in the residence (Casa Azahar, Lloguers Altamar, Albert Villas, Azahar Stay). Conditions, key handover and equipment depend on each. At Casa Azahar the keys are collected at its office at Avenida de Las Fuentes, 11.
- Ask about the floor. With no lift, a ground-floor unit with garden access is not the same as a duplex on the upper floors, especially if you are travelling with small children or older people.
- Check what the apartment includes. Some guests miss a dishwasher, hairdryer or more kitchenware; check the specific listing before booking to know what each home has.
- Bring the basics for the first few days. Several reviews comment that the supply of cleaning products, soap and paper is minimal. There are shops nearby to restock.
- If you want total silence, ask for an apartment facing the inside of the residence rather than the nightlife area.
What to do near Jardines del Puerto
From the residence you have the Las Fuentes promenade and the marina on foot. To the south, the seafront promenade leads to Cargador beach, Alcocéber's main one: 850 m of fine sand, accessible and with a Blue Flag every year since 1987. Beyond it, a wooden walkway, the Senda Litoral, links it with Romana beach.
To the north the Serra d'Irta Natural Park begins, declared in 2002, with about 12 km of unspoilt coastline between Alcossebre and Peñíscola. From Cala Blanca, next to the lighthouse, route 2 on foot (Faro d'Irta - Cala Cubanita - Font de la Parra, 12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc by bike, the coastal track towards Peñíscola (13.2 km, easy), set off. In summer, driving onto the park's coast requires booking a space in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
From the marina, water activities such as sailing, kayaking, paddle surfing, diving and boat trips are organised, some towards the Columbretes Islands Natural Park.
Other plans to round out your stay:
- Alcossebre market: on Tuesday evenings, from May to October, on Camí l'Atall, next to the seafront promenade (confirm the hours at the tourist office).

- Local food: the tomata de penjar from Alcalà de Xivert, arroz a la marinera, suquet de peix and almond sweets.
- Peñíscola, about 32 km by road, for a day trip.
