Las Haciendas de Alcalà is a residential estate in Alcossebre made up of townhouses and apartments. It lies on Camí del Montull, in the band of residential estates that surrounds the village on its inland side. It should not be confused with another estate called "Las Haciendas" in the interior of the municipality of Alcalà de Xivert, far from the coast. Several local agencies, such as Albert Villas, Marineu or Lloguers Altamar, advertise holiday homes on the estate under names like "Las Haciendas Marineu" or "Apartamentos Las Haciendas Altamar". On Central de Reservas it also appears as "Holiday Home Las Haciendas", at Camino del Montull 20. None of these listings has reviews at the date of consultation, so there is no guest rating to summarise.
Where it is: the residential area
Camí del Montull is behind the town centre, in an area of residential estates with detached houses and small complexes. It is a quieter setting than the centre, with the trade-off that the beaches, supermarkets and restaurants are at a distance that is normally covered by car. The sources do not give the exact distance to the beach.
The nearest town beaches are:
- Cargador Beach: the main beach in the village, with 850 m of fine sand, a seafront promenade and Blue Flag status without interruption since 1987.
- Les Fonts / Las Fuentes Beach: north of the marina, with freshwater springs that bubble up in the sand, lifeguards, a children's area and equipment hire.
What is nearby
- Alcossebre town centre: Plaza Vista Alegre, Tourist Info and the shopping area.
- Las Fuentes marina, with the Alcossebre Sailing Club and boat trips.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park: walking and cycling routes from Cala Blanca and the lighthouse, such as the Ruta del Cranc (13.2 km of coastal track to Peñíscola, easy difficulty). In summer, driving into the park's coast requires a reservation in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
- Hermitage of Santa Llúcia i Sant Benet, with a short route (1.3 km) starting from the Montemar estate.
How to get to Las Haciendas
- By car: AP-7, exit 44 (Alcossebre-Torreblanca), or N-340 and CV-142 to Alcossebre; then Camí del Montull.
- Approximate distances: Castellón, about 50 km; Valencia, about 120 km; Zaragoza, about 255 km; Madrid, about 465 km.
- Airports: Castellón (about 22 km), Valencia (about 123 km), Reus (about 145 km) and Barcelona (about 230 km).
- By train: Alcalà de Xivert station, about 10 km away.
