Porta d'Irta is the name of a new-build development in the north of Alcossebre, in the Ribamar area, where the town gives way to the Serra d'Irta Natural Park. On portals and in listings it also appears as Porta Mediterránea Homes Ribamar. This page summarises what is known about its location and surroundings, and tells you where to rent in the same area.
It is an informative and independent page: Casa Azahar has no connection with the development.
It should not be confused with Residencial Porta Mediterrània, a different building located in the centre of the town.
Where Porta d'Irta is
The development is at Carrer l'Atall, Ribamar area, 17, at the northern end of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón), beyond the Las Fuentes area and the marina. It is the part of the town closest to the Serra d'Irta, the natural park declared in 2002 that protects about 12 km of unspoilt coastline between Alcossebre and Peñíscola.

The reference town beach is Las Fuentes (Les Fonts), with fine sand, lifeguards and services and with freshwater springs that bubble up in the sand itself. Towards the lighthouse is Cala Blanca, small and with difficult access, the starting point of several routes in the park.
What the development is like
According to the developer's information, Porta d'Irta is a development of 36 new-build homes. The sources consulted do not detail communal areas or types, so we do not take them for granted.
Holiday rental: as of October 2026 there is no record of a holiday rental offer for Porta d'Irta on Booking, TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas. On Google there is only the listing of the development itself, which has no guest reviews.
