Residencial L'Atall (Camí L'Atall), Alcossebre

The Camí L'Atall apartments in Alcossebre are part of Residencial L'Atall, a residential complex that takes its name from Camí de l'Atall, one of the streets running near the Cargador seafront promenade. Its holiday units are marketed by Marineu (as "Marineu Residencial L'Atall") and Lloguers Altamar (as "Camí l'Atall Altamar"). This page is independent and gathers what the public portals say.

Where Residencial L'Atall in Alcocéber is

The complex is in the Cargador and town centre area, in the southern part of the promenade, a step from Cargador beach. The guests who have left a review highlight precisely that: the beach is very close, and location is the best-rated aspect (9.5 on Booking).

One caveat: the Booking listing "Camí l'Atall Altamar" places the apartment at number 74 on Camí de l'Atall, and its position on the map does not exactly match that of the complex. It may be another building on the same road. If you are interested in this particular complex, confirm the address with the agency.

Cargador beach is the main one in Alcocéber:

• 850 m long and about 70 m wide, with fine sand.
• Protected dune system, with sea daffodil.
• Fully accessible, with a seafront promenade, sailing club and paddle surf rental.
• Blue Flag every year since 1987.

Very close by, the wooden walkway of the Senda Litoral links Cargador with Romana beach, which measures 500 × 40 m.

Camí l'Atall is also the street where the Alcossebre market is set up, on Tuesday afternoons from May to October, on the stretch in the promenade area.

Advantages of the area: beach, promenade and shops on foot; flat ground by the sea. Drawbacks: in high season there are more people and more traffic, and on market Tuesdays the area fills up.

Sources on the services at Residencial L'Atall are scarce. What is stated in the listings and the few reviews with text is this:

1. Confirm the building. Because of the possible difference between the Booking listing and the complex, ask for the exact address.
2. Ask about air conditioning. It is extra: find out the cost and how it is switched on.
3. Pool and parking. If they matter to you, ask explicitly, because they are not mentioned in the listings.
4. Reviews of the unit. With so few ratings, any recent comment about your apartment is worth more than the average.
5. Bring beach shoes and an extra towel for the sand. With no tap by the entrance, it helps to keep sand out of the flat.

In summer the average highs are around 29-30 °C and the sea is around 25 °C in high summer.

• July and August are the hottest and liveliest months: if you go then, book in advance, even more so if you travel as a group and need a large apartment.

• Spring and autumn (averages of about 16 and 19 °C) are ideal for the Serra d'Irta, hiking and cycling.

• By car: AP-7, exit 44 (Alcossebre-Torreblanca), or N-340 and CV-142 to Alcossebre. Then head to the Cargador seafront promenade area.
• Approximate distances: Castellón, about 50 km; Valencia, about 120 km; Zaragoza, about 255 km; Madrid, about 465 km.
• Airports: Castellón (about 22 km), Valencia (about 123 km), Reus (about 145 km) and Barcelona (about 230 km).
• By train: Alcalà de Xivert station, about 10 km away.
• By bus: AMSA (Autos Mediterráneo), Avanza (from Madrid) and HIFE (from Castellón, Valencia and Zaragoza) lines reach Alcossebre.
