The Don Pedro apartments in Alcossebre are a residential complex in the Cargador area organised around a large garden with two pools. The homes have a terrace; those on the upper floors face the sea and those on the ground floor open directly onto the lawn. They are now managed by Casa Azahar, the local holiday rental agency, although for a few years another company, RealRent, marketed them, and some of the reviews circulating on the internet date from that period.

Where the Don Pedro apartments in Alcocéber are
Residencial Don Pedro is in the Cargador and town centre area of Alcossebre. Guests describe it as a quiet area a few minutes' walk from the centre and the beach: close enough to walk and far enough from the promenade to rest.

The reference beach is Carregador or Cargador, the town's main one:
- About 850 metres of fine sand and 70 wide.
- Dune system with a sea daffodil colony and a seafront promenade.
- Fully accessible, with a sailing club and paddle surf rental.
- Blue Flag every year since 1987.
Advantages of the area: shops, restaurants and the most complete beach in Alcossebre a stroll away, with the calm of a residential complex with a garden. Drawbacks: in August the centre is very busy and street parking is hard; that is why the complex's garage is a plus.
What Residencial Don Pedro is like
Don Pedro is a residential complex with a pool of the large-garden kind. What guests repeat most is the outdoor area: two large pools with plenty of lawn. Casa Azahar's photos show the complex with its green areas, an adult pool and a children's pool, and a sun terrace.

About the apartments:
- Spacious and comfortable for four people, according to reviews.
- Terrace: with sea views on the upper floors; on the ground floor, direct access to the garden.
- Living-dining room, equipped kitchen (with a dishwasher in the unit photographed), a double bedroom and a bedroom with two beds, and a bathroom with a bathtub.
- Air conditioning and wifi.
- Garage, although some guests warn that the spaces are tight for large cars.
As in all Casa Azahar buildings, pets are not allowed. Keys are collected at the Casa Azahar office, at Avenida Las Fuentes, 11.
What guests say about the Don Pedro apartments
7.1/10 weighted average across booking sites · 47 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 8.4/10 | 16 |
| Tripadvisor | 2.9/5 | 21 |
| Atrápalo | 2.9/10 | 1 |
| Central de Reservas | 8.3/10 | 9 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
The average of 7.1 hides a big difference between portals, and the explanation lies in who managed the apartments when the reviews were written:
- TripAdvisor (2.9/5, 21 reviews) and Atrápalo (2.9/10, a single review) mainly reflect the period when RealRent managed them, between 2017 and 2021. Their listings still carry the name "RealRent Don Pedro" and complaints about dirt abound.
- Booking (8.4/10, 16 comments) is Casa Azahar's current listing, with cleanliness 8.3, comfort 8.9 and staff 8.7.
- Central de Reservas (8.3/10, 9 reviews) also scores high, with 8.8 for price and 8.6 for location.
The Google listing (Apartamentos Don Pedro Casa Azahar) exists, but has no reviews yet. If you are looking for the most up-to-date picture, look mainly at Booking and Central de Reservas.
What guests like:
- The apartments, spacious and comfortable for four.
- The two large pools with lawn.
- The terraces with sea views and the ground floors with garden access.
- The garage and air conditioning.
- The warm welcome from the staff.
- The quiet area, a few minutes from the centre and the beach.
What could be improved:
- Late check-in and early check-out times.
- Poor cleanliness, especially in the old reviews from the RealRent period.
- Mattresses that could be better.
- High price for some customers (value for money, 7.5 on Booking).
- Limited kitchenware and tight parking spaces for large cars.
The profile is families and groups, mostly Spanish, with the odd French customer.
Our assessment
Strengths
- The garden and two pools, unusual in a complex so close to the centre.
- Spacious apartments with a terrace, some with sea views.
- Garage and air conditioning.
- Recent reviews clearly better than those from the previous period.
Weaknesses
- The old TripAdvisor scores confuse anyone who does not know about the change of management.
- Tight check-in and check-out times.
- Garage spaces that are narrow for large vehicles.
Who is it ideal for? For families with children, who have a children's pool and lawn at the door, and for groups of friends or two couples, who value the terraces and proximity to the centre. If you are travelling with more than four per apartment, check the available types.

Tips before booking at Don Pedro
- Choose your floor according to your preference. The upper ones usually have sea views; the ground floors face the garden, which is handy with small children.
- Large car. If you travel in a people carrier or van, ask about the dimensions of the garage space.
- Times. Take the check-in and check-out times into account when planning your trip; on the first and last day you can make the most of the beach or the town.
- Kitchenware. If you cook a lot, bring any utensil you use daily.
- Long stays. In the article on renting by the week or fortnight we explain how to organise your summer in Alcocéber.
When to go to the Don Pedro apartments
Alcossebre has a mild Mediterranean climate: according to the AEMET normals for the Castelló-Almassora station, the average is around 24.5 °C in summer, with highs of 29-30 °C, about 16 °C in spring and about 19 °C in autumn, and there are more than 2,700 hours of sunshine a year. The sea is around 25 °C in high summer.
In July and August the two pools and the garden are the centre of life at the complex, and the air conditioning and garage are really appreciated in high season. In June and September the atmosphere is calmer, Cargador beach is less crowded and the water is still warm. If you like a festive atmosphere, the Fiestas Patronales of San Juan Bautista are held in late August and early September; at Easter and during the spring Gastronomic Fair the town also comes alive. Outside summer, ask Casa Azahar which of the complex's services will be available on your dates.
