The Porta Mediterránea apartments in Alcossebre are right in the centre of the town, in the Cargador area. It is a quiet residence with a communal pool and terraces overlooking it, with the advantage of having the shops, restaurants and the main beach a few minutes' walk away. On the portals it appears as Residencial Porta Mediterrània, Porta Mediterranea Altamar or Porta Mediterranea Casa Azahar, because several operators rent it.
Casa Azahar is one of them, but at the moment it has no apartments available at Porta Mediterránea, so we do not offer bookings here. At the end we suggest Casa Azahar buildings in the same area.
To avoid confusion: the property developer Porta Mediterránea Homes, which appears on Google, is a different company with no connection to this apartment residence.

Porta Mediterránea and Casa Azahar: availability
Casa Azahar manages apartments in Porta Mediterránea, but right now it has none available to book. When to go to Porta Mediterránea
Alcossebre has a mild Mediterranean climate: according to the AEMET normals for the Castelló-Almassora station, the average is around 24.5 °C in summer, with highs of 29-30 °C, about 16 °C in spring and about 19 °C in autumn, and it has more than 2,700 hours of sunshine a year. The sea is around 25 °C in high summer.
There is always something going on in the centre of Alcossebre, but each season has its charm. In July and August the residence's quiet pool is a good refuge in the middle of the day, and the Tuesday market, which runs from May to October, is a short walk away. Bear in mind that, according to the reviews, air conditioning is at an extra charge and only in one bedroom. In June and September the heat eases and it is easy to find a spot on Cargador beach. In spring and autumn the centre keeps restaurants and shops open, ideal for short getaways at Easter, at the Food Fair or at the Fira de la Tomata de Penjar in October.
Surroundings and things to do
