Residencial El Arenal in Alcossebre (also called simply Arenal) is an apartment building right on the front row of Cargador beach, at Calle Garbí, 2. It shares its stretch of beach with the Albamar apartments, which are right next door, at number 1 on the same street.
The apartments belong to different owners, and some are rented seasonally through agencies in the area, such as Marejada, Inalko or Albert Villas. Casa Azahar does not manage apartments in El Arenal or offer bookings there: this page is informational and independent.
Where El Arenal in Alcocéber is
El Arenal faces Cargador beach, Alcossebre's main one, a short walk from the town centre:
- About 850 metres of fine sand and 70 wide, with protected dunes and sea daffodil.
- Blue Flag every year since 1987, including 2026.
- Accessible, with a sailing club, paddle surf rental and a seafront promenade.
The area has the advantage of bringing together beach, promenade and centre on foot. In return, in July and August there is quite a lot of activity and parking nearby can be hard.
What the complex is like
The sources describe it as a front-row residential complex. We have found no reliable data on the building's pool, lift or parking, so do not take them for granted and ask about them when booking.
Ratings: why we do not give a score for the building
On Booking there are two individual apartments in the building: one advertised by Albert Villas, with 8.0 out of 10, and another by Inalko, with 9.0. Each has only one review, so these are scores for a specific flat and one stay, not for the complex. The Google listing for the building, in an agency's name, has no reviews. With this data no conclusions can be drawn about El Arenal as a whole.
Surroundings and things to do
- Seafront promenade: to the north it leads to Las Fuentes beach and the marina; to the south, the Senda Litoral continues to Romana beach.
- Alcossebre town centre: bars, restaurants and shops a few minutes away.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park: at the northern end of the town, with walking and cycling routes from Cala Blanca and the lighthouse.
How to get there
- By car: AP-7, exit 44 (Alcossebre-Torreblanca), or N-340 and CV-142 to Alcossebre; then head to the centre and Cargador beach.
- By train: Alcalà de Xivert station, about 10 km away.
- By plane: Castellón airport about 22 km away and Valencia about 123 km.
