Where the Ibiza apartments are
The Ibiza apartments are on the seafront of Cargador beach, right in the centre of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón). The building faces the promenade directly, so it can be considered front line: you step out of the entrance, cross the promenade and you are on the sand.

Cargador beach (Carregador) is about 850 m long and 70 m wide, with fine sand and fully accessible, and has had a Blue Flag every year since 1987. At its end it preserves a dune system of high ecological value with a colony of sea daffodils, and on the sand there is a sailing club and paddle surf hire.
Around the building is the promenade's restaurant area, with bars and shops a few steps away. It is the liveliest part of town, which has two sides:
- Advantages: everything is within walking distance (beach, dinners, shopping, a sunset stroll) and you do not need to move the car for the whole stay.
- Drawbacks: in the height of summer there is more atmosphere and movement than in residential areas such as Las Fuentes or Romana beach, and the building's ground floor is occupied by restaurant premises.
From Cargador the Senda Litoral heads south, a wooden walkway that leads to Romana beach (500 m of fine sand, also accessible). To the north, the promenade brings you to Las Fuentes beach and the marina.

What the Ibiza building is like
The Ibiza building is a block of apartments on the promenade, with spacious 3-bedroom flats for a maximum of 6 people. According to the Casa Azahar listing, the apartments have sea views from the terrace, and in some units also from the upper-floor bedroom.
What is worth knowing before booking:
- Layout: living-dining room, kitchen, hallway, three bedrooms (some bedrooms have single beds) and a bathroom with a bath or a shower, depending on the unit.
- Terrace: it is the apartment's strong point; it faces the sea and lets you eat outside.
- Pool: the building has no pool of its own. The Casa Azahar listing mentions a nearby pool in summer; if it is essential for you, see the alternatives with a pool below.
- Lift and parking: the Casa Azahar listing does not mention them. Ask when booking if you need them.
- Pets: not allowed, as in the rest of the Casa Azahar buildings.

What guests say about the Ibiza apartments
8.1/10 weighted average across booking sites · 52 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 8.2/10 | 22 |
| 4.0/5 | 30 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
The Ibiza apartments have one listing on Booking.com, with 22 reviews, and a Google listing that does not collect its own reviews: it is a holiday rental listing for one specific type (the three-bedroom apartment) that aggregates the score from travel websites, 4.0 out of 5 from 30 ratings. They do not appear on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas, so the total volume of reviews is moderate and should be read as a trend, not a closed statistic.
What is most valued. The location score on Booking is 9.1 out of 10, the highest of all the sub-scores, and staff gets 8.8. Guests agree that the best things are the sea views from the terrace, the spaciousness of the apartments, with the feel of a charming home, and being able to have the beach in front and the centre next door. It is also mentioned that the immediate surroundings are peaceful for being on the promenade and that cleanliness is good (8.5).
What is criticised. The sub-scores for facilities (7.6), comfort (7.8) and value for money (7.9) are lower, and the reviews explain why:
- Some guests point out that their apartment had no air conditioning or that the unit did not work, and that out of season it is cold as there is no heating.
- Several reviews miss towels, soap and kitchen basics, so it is worth bringing them or asking what the rental includes.
- Minor defects in the terrace furniture or the shower and maintenance that could be better are mentioned.
- There are occasional complaints about the noise of a generator from the ground-floor restaurant.
- Wifi is the weakest point: its Booking sub-score is 2.5 out of 10. If you need to work remotely, do not count on it.
- Some guests find check-out time early.
The profile of those who stay is clear: families and groups, almost all from Spain, looking for a large flat by the sea.

Our assessment of the Ibiza apartments
As managers of the building, we prefer to tell you what does not work so well too. Based on the portal data, this is our summary:
Strengths
- A location that is hard to beat in Alcocéber: on the Cargador promenade, with the beach in front and the centre on foot.
- Spacious three-bedroom flats, unusual on the front line.
- A terrace with sea views, the best-rated aspect in the reviews.
Weaknesses
- Uneven equipment between units (climate control, kitchenware, towels).
- No pool of its own in the building.
- Very poorly rated wifi.
- A restaurant-area atmosphere, with some noise in high season.
Who it is ideal for. For families with older children and groups of friends or two couples who will spend the day on the beach and want to have dinner on the promenade without taking the car. If you are travelling with babies and want a pool and a garden, or if you need a good connection for work, another building from the list of alternatives will suit you better. For older people with reduced mobility, ask about access first.
Tips before booking at the Ibiza building
Based on what guests say, a few checks will save you surprises:
- Ask about your unit's climate control. Not all apartments have the same equipment; if you are travelling in July or August, confirm that your flat has air conditioning, and if you are going in winter, how it is heated.
- Check what the rental includes. Towels, bed linen, cleaning products and kitchen basics vary by rental. Bringing a small kit (soap, salt, oil, cloths) is a good idea.
- Plan your connection. With wifi so poorly rated, if you need the internet for work, bring enough mobile data.
- Bear in mind the check-out time. If you want to make the most of the beach on the last day, pack the night before.
- Choose your dates carefully. In July and August the promenade is very lively; in June and September the beach is still inviting and the surroundings are quieter.

What to do near the Ibiza building
Staying at Cargador puts you at the centre of everything Alcossebre has to offer:
- Beaches on foot: Cargador itself; Romana beach along the Senda Litoral; and, a little further south, El Moro beach (300 m of fine sand between rocks). Four Alcossebre beaches have a Blue Flag in 2026: Carregador, El Moro, Romana and Manyetes.
- Seafront promenade: the axis of the town for sunset strolls and dinners.
- Summer market: from May to October a weekly market is set up by the seafront promenade.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park: it starts north of the town, at Cala Blanca, next to the lighthouse. From there, route 2 on foot (Faro d'Irta - Cala Cubanita - Font de la Parra, 12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc by bike, the coastal track towards Peñíscola (13.2 km, easy), set off. In summer, driving onto the park's coast requires booking a space in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
- Las Fuentes marina: with about 283 berths and the Alcossebre Sailing Club; trips to the Columbretes Islands leave from it.
How to get to the Ibiza apartments
