The Jeremías apartments in Alcossebre form a complex with a pool and gardens in the south of the town, next to the Alcossebre Sea Experience aparthotel. On the portals it appears under several names (Complejo Jeremías, Jeremias Apartments, Komplex Jeremias or Jeremías Altamar) because several operators rent apartments there. Casa Azahar is one of them, but at the moment it has no apartments available in the complex, so we do not offer bookings here; at the end we suggest Casa Azahar buildings very close by.
A warning to avoid confusion: the Hotel Jeremías is a different establishment from this apartment complex, even though they share a name.
Where the Jeremías complex in Alcocéber is
The Jeremías complex is in the Romana beach area, in the southern stretch of Cargador, right next to the Alcossebre Sea Experience aparthotel. The listings present it as facing the beach, and guests highlight that it is very near the sand and a stroll from the town. On Booking, location receives 9.4 out of 10, its best score.

The beaches you have at hand:
- Carregador or Cargador beach: about 850 metres of fine sand with dunes, a seafront promenade, a sailing club and a Blue Flag every year since 1987.
- Romana beach: about 500 metres of fine sand, accessible, linked to Cargador by the wooden walkway of the Senda Litoral.
- Further south, El Moro, a sand beach between rocks with lifeguards in season.
Advantages of the area: the beach a few steps away and a quieter setting than the centre, with the seafront promenade to walk into town. Drawbacks: the shops and the marina are a stroll away, and in summer the beach area fills up in the afternoons.
What the Jeremías complex is like

What guests say about the Jeremías complex
8.1/10 weighted average across booking sites · 116 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 8.1/10 | 109 |
| Central de Reservas | 8.1/10 | 7 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
It is important to take into account where these reviews come from. The Booking listing, with 109 comments, carries the name of Lloguers Altamar, another operator that rents apartments in the complex, and the Central de Reservas one has 7 reviews. In other words, they mainly reflect the experience with that operator's units and service, not with Casa Azahar. The three TripAdvisor listings have no reviews and Jeremías has no listing of its own on Google Maps.
With that clarification, the picture guests give is fairly clear:
What guests like most:
- The location, very near the beach and a stroll from the town.
- The available parking.
- The pool with shade in the afternoon.
- The terraces with sea views.
- The spacious apartments, some recently renovated.
- The quiet of the area and the good service at the agency.
What could be improved:
- The sofa bed and the mattresses, the most repeated complaint.
- Uneven cleanliness in bed linen, coffee maker or pillows.
- Cockroaches getting into one apartment.
- Windows without blinds.
- Keys at a distant agency after 17:00.
- No towels and old furniture in some units.
On Booking, cleanliness gets 8.4 and staff 8.8; comfort, at 7.5, is the lowest score, consistent with the complaints about beds and sofas. The profile is Spanish families and groups.
Our assessment
Strengths
- A location next to the beach, with the seafront promenade for walking into town.
- A pool and gardens, with shade in the afternoon.
- Free parking.
- Terraces with sea views in many units.
Weaknesses
- Beds and sofa beds that could be better, according to many reviews.
- Notable differences between renovated and unrenovated apartments.
- Key collection away from the complex with the operator in the reviews.
Who is it ideal for? For families and groups who want the beach a few steps away, a pool and the car parked without hassle. If you are demanding about rest, it is worth asking about the condition of the beds and sofas in the specific unit.
Jeremías and Casa Azahar: availability
Casa Azahar manages apartments in the Jeremías complex, but right now it has none available to book. When to go to the Jeremías complex
Alcossebre has a mild Mediterranean climate: according to AEMET norms for the Castelló-Almassora station, the average is around 24.5 °C in summer, with maximums of 29-30 °C, about 16 °C in spring and about 19 °C in autumn, and it gets more than 2,700 hours of sun a year. The sea is about 25 °C in the height of summer.
The southern area of Cargador and Romana is at its best in July and August, with the promenade and the Senda Litoral full of people at sunset; in those months the pool with afternoon shade and the ceiling fans are welcome. June and September are highly recommended months: the beach still has a good temperature, there is more room on the sand and it is easier to park. At the end of August and the start of September the San Juan Bautista patron saint festivities coincide, and in October the Fira de la Tomata de Penjar.
Around the complex and things to do
- Senda Litoral: a wooden walkway between Cargador and Romana beach, ideal for a sunset stroll.
- Southern beaches: Romana, El Moro, Tres Platges and Manyetes. Romana, El Moro and Manyetes had a Blue Flag in 2026.
- Seafront promenade and centre, with the weekly summer market.
- Las Fuentes marina, with sailing, kayaking and diving trips to the Columbretes Islands.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park: from Cala Blanca and the lighthouse, route 2 (12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc by mountain bike (13.2 km) towards Peñíscola set off. In summer, driving onto the park's coast requires booking a space in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
- Alcalà de Xivert, about 9 km away, with the 68-metre octagonal bell tower of the church of San Juan Bautista.
How to get to the Jeremías complex
