The Meridia apartments in Alcossebre are in a quiet estate halfway between Cargador beach and Las Fuentes beach. It is a small complex, little known outside the village, with a communal pool and gardens, and a practical location: the marina and supermarkets are close by.
Casa Azahar, the local agency in Alcossebre, manages apartments in Meridia and has its own page for the building with photos and availability. On some portals it also appears under the name "Meridia by Azahar Stay".

Where the Meridia apartments are
Meridia is in the Las Fuentes area, on the border with Cargador, north of the centre of Alcossebre. Guests highlight that they have the beach and marina nearby, and supermarkets right next door, which makes a stay of several days much easier without depending on the car for shopping.

From here you have two beaches to choose from:
- Las Fuentes (Les Fonts), north of the marina: 400 metres of fine sand in a sheltered bay, with lifeguards, showers, a children's area and equipment hire. Its most curious feature is the freshwater springs that bubble up in the sand itself.
- El Carregador or Cargador, the main beach of the village: 850 metres of fine sand, a seafront promenade and a Blue Flag without interruption since 1987.
The Las Fuentes marina is home of the Alcossebre Sailing Club and the departure point for boat and diving excursions to the Columbretes Islands.
Advantages of the area: it is quieter than the centre, is between two beaches, has services nearby and is a short walk from the start of the Sierra de Irta.
Drawbacks: some guests consider it somewhat far from the village centre. For dinner in the Cargador promenade area you may prefer to go by car or take a long walk.

Guests mention a comfortable double mattress and clean apartments. To find out the exact layout and capacity of each home, check its listing before booking.

What guests think of Meridia
7.5/10 weighted average across booking sites · 26 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 7.5/10 | 26 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
Meridia only has ratings on Booking: 26 reviews with a score of 7.5 out of 10. The Google listing is for an apartment type ("One-Bedroom Apartment") and shows no score, and we have not found listings for the complex on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas. With so few reviews, each review weighs heavily on the average, so take it as a guide.
The striking thing is that all the Booking sub-scores exceed the overall score: location 8.7; staff 8.4; cleanliness, facilities and comfort 8.3; and value for money 8.1. That usually indicates that the overall score is lowered by a specific aspect that does not fit the categories, and here it is clear which one it is.
What is most valued:
- The location: beach and marina nearby, and supermarkets next door.
- The quiet estate, with a lovely, well-kept pool.
- The terraces with views of the pool and gardens.
- A comfortable double mattress and a clean apartment.
- The garage and air conditioning.
- Proper service at reception and flexibility with early departures.
What is criticised most:
- Charging for towels and kitchen cloths, sometimes without clear notice. It is by far the most repeated complaint. Check the conditions of your booking to know what it includes.
- Equipment details: some guests miss a hairdryer, towel rail, dishwasher or a dining table.
- A scarce cleaning kit.
- That it is somewhat far from the centre.
- The outdoor air conditioning unit heats up the terrace.
Our assessment of the Meridia apartments
Strengths. Meridia combines three things that do not always go together in Alcossebre: a quiet estate with a pool, garage and air conditioning. The location between Cargador and Las Fuentes, with the marina and supermarkets nearby, is very convenient for a beach week. The high sub-scores for cleanliness and comfort indicate that the apartments deliver.
Weak points. The matter of bath and kitchen linen causes annoyance when it is not clear beforehand. The equipment is adequate but without extras, and those who want to experience the centre's atmosphere will have to walk for a while.
Ideal for:
- Couples, the most common profile in the reviews, looking for calm and a pool.
- Small groups or friends who want to park without complications.
- Those travelling by car who value having a garage.
Less suitable for: those who want to go out on foot every night in the centre or need an apartment with all the extras, such as a dishwasher.

Tips before booking at Meridia
Based on the information in the reviews, these are the points worth checking before finalising your stay at the Meridia apartments:
- Bed linen, towels and cloths. Confirm what the booking includes and what is paid separately, to avoid surprises on arrival.
- Kitchen equipment. If you need a dishwasher or a large dining table, check it on the specific apartment's listing.
- Cleaning products and basics. Several guests recommend bringing something from home or doing a first shop at the nearby supermarkets.
- Car. The garage is one of Meridia's strengths: if you come by car from inland, you can leave it parked all week and walk to the beach and the marina.
- Floor and orientation. If heat on the terrace bothers you, ask about the location of the air conditioning unit.

When to go to Meridia
With air conditioning and a pool, Meridia works well in midsummer, when the average temperature in Alcossebre is around 24.5 °C and the sea reaches about 25 °C. June and September offer quieter beaches and good weather, and spring is ideal for combining beach with routes in the Serra d'Irta, which is very close. Between August and September the patron saint festivals of San Juan Bautista are held. If you plan to stay a week or a fortnight, see the guide on renting by the week and fortnight.
Surroundings and things to do near Meridia
Being on the north side of the village, Meridia is a good base for the Sierra de Irta. Past the marina and Las Fuentes beach you reach the Alcossebre lighthouse and Cala Blanca, where the walking route to Cala Cubanita (12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc, the coastal track by bike to Peñíscola (13.2 km, easy), begin. The Serra d'Irta Natural Park protects about 12 km of undeveloped coast, with pebble and sand coves without lifeguards or services. In summer, to drive into that coast you need to book a place in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
From the marina you can sign up for a sailing, kayak or diving trip, or an excursion to the Columbretes Islands. And to the south, the Cargador seafront promenade and the Senda Litoral walkway take you to Playa Romana.
