The Tres Carabelas apartments in Alcossebre (also spelled Tres Carabeles) are a classic of the Las Fuentes promenade. Do not confuse them with the Sirenis Tres Carabelas hotel, a neighbouring hotel with a similar name that is not part of this directory. The apartment building is marketed by several agencies: Casa Azahar, Lloguers Altamar, Apartamentos 3000 or RealRent, among others. That is why it appears on the portals with several listings, and on this page we explain which score belongs to each.

Where the Tres Carabelas apartments are
Tres Carabelas is in the Las Fuentes area, facing the sea. The Lloguers Altamar listing places the building at Passeig Marítim, 2. According to guests, it is a quiet area next to the beach and close to the marina, where it is also easy to park.

The nearest beach is Las Fuentes (Les Fonts): about 400 metres of fine sand next to the marina, with freshwater springs that rise from the sand. In season it has lifeguards, toilets, showers, ramps, a children's area and equipment hire.
Las Fuentes marina has about 283 berths and is the home of the Club de Vela Alcossebre. From the marina you can visit the Columbretes Islands, already in another natural park.
Advantages of the area: the sea in front, quiet, the marina a short walk away and easier parking than in the centre.
A practical warning: nearby there is a hotel with an almost identical name, the Sirenis Tres Carabelas, so check the address carefully when searching in your browser or on arrival.
What the Tres Carabelas complex is like
Tres Carabelas is a seafront apartment block with landscaped common areas. According to the listings and published reviews, it has:
- Very well-kept gardens, one of the most praised aspects.
- A communal pool, which some guests consider small and which has no lifeguard.
- Easy parking in the surrounding area.

The apartments have a kitchen and are cooled with ceiling fans: they have no air conditioning. Some have sea views. Several guests point out that the apartments are small for four people, so they suit couples or small families better. In the Casa Azahar photos you can see, for example, an apartment with a living-dining room and an integrated sleeping area.

The table mixes listings from different agencies and is best read in parts:
- Booking, Casa Azahar listing (7.0 with 3 ratings). These are only three scores and none has text, so they add little information.
- Booking, Lloguers Altamar listing (7.6 with 16 reviews), which appears in the table as the second Booking row. It is another agency in the same complex and most of the themes we summarise below come from its comments.
- Google (4.7 out of 5 with 14 reviews). It is the highest score, but some reviews seem to refer to a bar or a nearby hotel, possibly the Sirenis Tres Carabelas hotel, so it should be taken with caution.
- Central de Reservas (5.0 with 1 review), from 2014: not very representative.
On TripAdvisor there are several listings for the building (from RealRent, from Apartamentos 3000 and a general one), all without reviews.
What guests like most

- Apartments small for four people.
- Equipment faults (hob, lamps).
- Poor cleanliness in some cases.
- Small, unsupervised pool.
The reviewers are mostly solo travellers and couples.

Weak points

Who it is ideal for
- Couples looking for sea and quiet.
- Solo travellers or older people who want to walk by the sea and the marina.

Tips before booking Tres Carabelas
- Check the real capacity of the apartment if there are four of you: several guests found them small.
- Ask for a unit with sea views if that is what you want, because not all have them.
- Ask which agency manages the unit and its conditions, since the building has several.
- In July and August, consider whether ceiling fans will be enough for you.
- Watch children in the pool, which has no lifeguard.
When to go to Tres Carabelas
Because of its seafront location and the lack of air conditioning, Tres Carabelas shines especially in spring, June, September and autumn. With average temperatures of 16 to 19 °C in spring and autumn, according to reference climate data, it is an ideal place to stroll by the sea and hike in the Serra d'Irta. In July and August, average highs of 29-30 °C make the heat the main complaint. For long off-season stays, see our guide to renting by the week and fortnight.
