The Las Arenas apartments in Alcossebre are a residential development with a shared pool in the far south of the town, on a quiet hillside between the mountain and the sea. On the portals they appear under different names (Las Arenas 3000, Kione Las Arenas, Marineu Las Arenas, Apartamentos Boutique Las Arenas) because the apartments are marketed by several operators. This page is independent: it gathers what the public portals say so you can compare before booking.
Where the Las Arenas apartments in Alcocéber are
The Las Arenas residence is in the southern area of Alcossebre, the area of small beaches that runs from El Moro to Tres Platges and Manyetes. It is an area of developments with gardens, quieter than the centre and with less street-level commerce.

The beaches on this part of the coast are these, from north to south:
| Beach | Size | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| El Moro | 300 × 30 m | Fine sand between rocks, with lifeguards, showers and toilets. Blue Flag in 2026. |
| Tres Platges | 400 × 35 m | Three small coves of sand and pebbles. Unsupervised bathing area. |
| Manyetes / Tropicana | 400 × 35 m | Sand to the north and pebbles to the south, a quiet atmosphere and dunes. Blue Flag in 2026. |
Guest reviews agree on one point: the complex is far from the beach and the town. Several reckon about 15 minutes to Romana beach, which is the nearest big sand beach with a promenade. If you plan to go back and forth on foot several times a day, bear that in mind; by car, the distance is less noticeable.
Advantages of the area: silence, a residential setting and less traffic than at Cargador. Drawbacks: few services nearby and the usual slopes in hillside developments.

What the Las Arenas complex is like
Las Arenas is an apartment development with shared areas. According to the portal listings and reviews, these are the facilities mentioned:
- A shared pool with a lifeguard, which guests describe as pretty and accessible.
- Underground parking.
- Large terraces in the apartments.
- Air conditioning, which some operators charge for separately.
- In older reviews, two pools and padel courts are cited; we have not been able to confirm they are still the same.
The apartments are described as spacious. The number of bedrooms by type and whether there is a lift are not listed in the sources consulted, so it is worth checking on the specific listing.
An important detail: as each operator manages its own units, conditions change from one listing to another (check-in times, surcharges, equipment). The Booking and Google reviews correspond to the Apartamentos 3000 listings; those on Central de Reservas, to the "Arenas Altamar" listing.
What guests say about Las Arenas
7.5/10 weighted average across booking sites · 65 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 7.1/10 | 47 |
| 4.2/5 | 14 | |
| Central de Reservas | 8.6/10 | 4 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
With 65 reviews across three portals, Las Arenas has a reasonable base of ratings, although spread across operators. To read the table properly, it helps to know what each portal measures:
- Booking (7.1/10, 47 reviews) corresponds to the "Apartamentos Las Arenas 3000" listing, from the operator Apartamentos 3000. It is the source with the most volume and the one that best reflects recent experience in its units.
- Google (4.2/5, 14 reviews) is also an Apartamentos 3000 listing, with an address on Carrer Xaloc 11. There are other listings for individual units on Google, but with no reviews.
- Central de Reservas (8.6/10, 4 reviews) collects the "Arenas Altamar" listing, from Lloguers Altamar, with reviews from 2018 and 2019. There facilities are scored 9.2 and cleanliness 8.0, but with so few and such old reviews the figure is only indicative.
The "Arenas Orange Costa" listing on Central de Reservas and the Tripadvisor one ("Apartamentos Boutique Las Arenas") have no reviews. Those for Kione Las Arenas could not be consulted.
What is most valued:
- The pool, which appears in almost all the positive reviews: well kept, supervised and convenient for families.
- The quiet of the development, between mountain and sea.
- The spacious apartments with a large terrace.
- The underground parking, useful in summer.
- The service of the staff, which on Booking gets 7.7, the highest sub-score.
What is repeated in the criticisms:
- Some guests point out surcharges for towels and air conditioning that they did not expect.
- Damage and pending maintenance in blinds, air conditioning or tiles are mentioned.
- There are comments about sagging mattresses and just-adequate cleanliness on arrival.
- The schedule (check-in at 17:00, check-out at 10:00) and the number of rules are perceived as rigid.
- Some miss kitchenware.
The Booking sub-scores sketch a consistent profile: location 7.6, staff 7.7, cleanliness 7.0, facilities 7.1, value for money 7.1 and comfort 6.8, which is the weakest point. It fits the complaints about mattresses and maintenance.
By profile, those who stay are mainly couples, families and solo travellers, mostly Spanish.
Our assessment
Strengths
- A shared pool with a lifeguard, very well rated.
- A quiet residential setting, away from the bustle of the centre.
- Spacious apartments with a terrace and underground parking.
Weaknesses
- Distance to Romana beach and the centre: a car is almost essential.
- Comfort and maintenance below the other sub-scores.
- Surcharges and conditions that differ by operator.
Who it is ideal for
Las Arenas suits families who spend a good part of the day at the pool and couples looking for rest who do not mind taking the car to the beach. It is less recommended for older people or for anyone who wants to do everything on foot, because of the distance and the slopes in the area. Before booking, check on the listing what the price includes (towels, air conditioning) and who manages that unit.
Tips if you are going to rent at Las Arenas
At Las Arenas there is no single company or shared reception: each apartment is marketed by its operator or its owner. That is why the average score serves as a guide, but what really decides your stay is the specific listing. Before booking, check these points:
- Who manages the apartment. On the portals Apartamentos 3000, Kione, Marineu, Lloguers Altamar, Orange Costa and others appear. Each has its own rules for keys, deposit, cleaning and hours.
- What the price includes. Complaints about surcharges for towels and air conditioning recur. Ask whether air conditioning is paid separately and whether bed and bath linen is included.
- Condition of the apartment. Look for recent reviews of that unit and check the photos of bedrooms and kitchen: mattresses and kitchenware are the most criticised points.
- Check-in and check-out times. With check-in at 17:00 and check-out at 10:00, it is best to plan the trip so as not to arrive too early or have to rush on the last day.
- Car. Because of the distance to Romana beach and the centre, count on it for shopping and getting around. Underground parking is an advantage, but confirm that your space is included.
- Old reviews. Those on Central de Reservas are from 2018-2019 and some of those that mention padel or a second pool are also old; give more weight to recent ones.
If you are thinking of a long stay, in the article on renting by the week or fortnight in Alcocéber you will find ideas for organising it.
Around Las Arenas and things to do
From the southern area you have Alcossebre's quietest coastline at hand:
- Romana beach: 500 × 40 m of fine sand, accessible, linked to Cargador by the wooden walkway of the Senda Litoral. Blue Flag in 2026.
- Cargador beach: the main beach, 850 × 70 m, with a dune system, a seafront promenade and a Blue Flag every year since 1987.
- Serradal / L'Estany beach, south of Manyetes: 1,600 m of pebbles, very natural, with a signposted dog area.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park, at the far north of the town: walking and cycling routes from the lighthouse and Cala Blanca. In summer, driving onto the park's coast requires a parking booking in the GVA Parcs Naturals app.
For eating, local food revolves around oven-baked rice, suquet de peix and the tomata de penjar from Alcalà de Xivert.
Las Arenas compared with other southern-area complexes
To place Las Arenas' score, this is the weighted average of other southern-area complexes (El Moro, Tres Platges and Manyetes) included in this directory, with data from the portals consulted in October 2026:
| Complex | Type | Average score (reviews) |
|---|---|---|
| Las Arenas (this page) | Family development with a pool | 7.5 (65) |
| Residencial Serena Mar | Residence with a pool and parking | 8.5 (78) |
| Villamar (Kione) | Small complex with a pool | 8.5 (258) |
| Villas Dulcinea | Villas and townhouses with a pool | 8.7 (108) |
| Bellamar complex | Townhouses with a pool | 6.2 (13) |
Las Arenas falls below most southern developments with many reviews, mainly because of comfort and maintenance, although above complexes with few ratings such as Bellamar. If your priority is the pool and peace and quiet, the area has several comparable options; it is worth checking each page.
