Where Poblado Marinero in Alcossebre is
Poblado Marinero is between the marina and Las Fuentes beach, next to the El Náutico Restaurant, the restaurant of the Las Fuentes Yacht Club, on the Las Fuentes Seafront Promenade. It is the northern area of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón) and, because of its position, the complex is effectively on the front line.

What you have around you:
- Las Fuentes (Les Fonts) beach: about 400 m of fine sand with one special feature: freshwater springs from an old aquifer bubble up in the sand itself. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, foot washes, ramps, a children's area and equipment hire.
- Las Fuentes marina: about 283 moorings and home of the Alcossebre Sailing Club, with a sailing school. Boat trips and diving excursions to the Columbretes Islands leave from the marina.
- Las Fuentes seafront promenade, with bars and shops according to guests, and the Kalymnos nightclub, which opens in summer, Easter and New Year's Eve.
Advantages and drawbacks of the area:
- Pros: sea, marina and beach on foot; a quiet atmosphere during the day and open views.
- Cons: the town centre and Cargador beach are somewhat further away, and on summer nights there is more activity on the promenade and at the marina.

What the Poblado Marinero complex is like
It is an apartment complex next to the marina, with several operators renting units. According to the Casa Azahar listing, its apartments have sea views, are a step from the marina, from where diving activities and excursions to the Columbretes leave, and the Sierra de Irta is close.
As for the complex's facilities, the listings and reviews of the complex's other operator mention:
- Free private parking within the development.
- Pool.
- Terraces with sea views in many apartments.
- Variable climate control: in some units air conditioning carries a surcharge or there is only a ceiling fan.
The Casa Azahar listing does not detail the pool, parking or the capacity of each apartment, so ask when booking about the specific facilities of your unit. What is the same for all Casa Azahar buildings: pets are not allowed.

What guests think of Poblado Marinero
8.3/10 weighted average across booking sites · 29 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| 4.2/5 | 19 | |
| Central de Reservas | 8.2/10 | 10 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
Before reading the table, an important clarification: all the rated reviews come from listings of the operator Apartamentos 3000, not Casa Azahar. The Google listing with reviews is called "Apartamentos Poblado Marinero 3000" (4.2 out of 5, 19 reviews) and the Central de Reservas one is "Poblado Marinero 3000" (8.2 out of 10, 10 reviews). On TripAdvisor, the Casa Azahar listing and the 3000 operator's one have no reviews, and a generic listing for the complex has only one, negative. On Booking there is no listing for the complex, only a single unit from another advertiser.
For that reason the reviews are useful mainly for learning about the surroundings and the communal areas, which are shared, but not necessarily the condition or service of Casa Azahar's apartments.
What is most appreciated. On Central de Reservas, the location scores 9.0 and value for money 8.3. Guests highlight:
- The location at the marina, on the beach, with bars and shops next door.
- The terraces with sea views.
- The free private parking within the development, valuable in summer.
- A charming, quiet setting.
- Kitchens and bathrooms renovated in some units.
What is criticised. The services and cleanliness sub-scores (7.8 in both cases) reflect the most repeated complaints, which relate to the 3000 operator:
- The deposit, which some customers find unclear at the time of booking; it is the reason for several complaints.
- Air conditioning at a surcharge, or only a ceiling fan.
- Old furniture in some of the apartments.
- Occasional incidents of cleanliness and insects.
- A poorly organised check-in, according to some guests.
Those who leave reviews are Spanish couples and families, often on weekend getaways.
Our assessment of Poblado Marinero
Strengths
- A unique location next to the marina, with Las Fuentes beach next door and sea views.
- A charming setting, quiet by day and with restaurants on foot.
- A convenient starting point for water sports, diving and excursions to the Columbretes, and for the Sierra de Irta.
Weaknesses
- Uneven equipment and climate control between units, according to reviews.
- Dated furniture in some of the complex.
- Further from the centre and Cargador than other buildings.
Ideal for.Couples looking for a seaside getaway, sailing, diving or paddle surf enthusiasts, and families who want a beach with services and a children's area at the door. If you prefer the commercial atmosphere of the centre, look at the Cargador buildings.
How to avoid the usual complaints. Before booking, ask in writing for the terms of the deposit, if there is one, and confirm whether your apartment has air conditioning included. When you book with Casa Azahar you receive those terms from its office in Alcossebre, at Avenida Las Fuentes, 11, where the keys are also collected.
Poblado Marinero compared with other Las Fuentes complexes
The Las Fuentes and marina area brings together very different complexes. This comparison, made with public portal data, helps you place Poblado Marinero:
| Complex | Type | What sets it apart | Average portal rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poblado Marinero | Apartment complex next to the marina | Sea views, parking in the development, marina atmosphere | 8.3/10 (29 reviews) |
| Complejo Eurhostal | Large complex with meal plans | Two pools, buffet and entertainment; works almost like a hotel | 8.0/10 (4,456 reviews) |
| El Faro Apartaments | Privately managed apartments | Close service from the manager and a communal pool | 8.4/10 (12 reviews) |
| Sierra de Irta | Residence with a pool, north of Las Fuentes | Pool with a jacuzzi, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom flats | 8.5/10 (23 reviews) |
If you are looking for independence and the sea in front of you, Poblado Marinero and the front-line buildings in Las Fuentes are the natural choice. If you prefer to have meals and entertainment included, the Eurhostal model is a different kind of stay. And if what you want is peace and quiet and the Sierra de Irta, Residencial Sierra de Irta is more secluded.
What to ask before booking at Poblado Marinero
As several operators with different conditions coexist in the complex, it is worth resolving these questions before paying:
- Who manages the apartment? Published reviews are not interchangeable between operators.
- Is there a deposit and how is it returned? It is the most repeated complaint on the other operator's listings.
- Is air conditioning included? In some units it is charged separately or there is only a ceiling fan.
- Is there a parking space for your car? The development's parking is much appreciated in summer.
- Where are the keys collected and at what time? Some guests of another operator complain of a poorly organised check-in.
