The Sierra de Irta apartments in Alcossebre form a quiet complex in the northern part of the town, on the way to the Serra d'Irta Natural Park. On portals they appear as Sierra Irta Altamar or Sierra de Irta 3000, among other names, because several agencies market apartments there. This page is an independent reference with its location, facilities and published reviews; it is not the complex's official website and we do not handle bookings there.
Where is Residencial Sierra de Irta?
Residencial Sierra de Irta is in the Las Fuentes area, north of Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón), next to Las Fuentes beach and beyond the marina, in the direction of the Serra d'Irta.

What you have nearby:
- Las Fuentes (Les Fonts) beach: about 400 m of fine sand, with freshwater springs that well up in the sand itself. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, foot washes, ramps, a children's area and equipment hire.
- Las Fuentes marina: about 283 moorings and the Club de Vela Alcossebre, with a sailing school.
- Serra d'Irta Natural Park: its southern gateway, at Cala Blanca and the lighthouse, is north of the town.
Pros and cons of the location:
- In its favour: a quiet complex, with Las Fuentes beach close and the Serra d'Irta next door for walking or cycling.
- Against: according to guests, it is far from shops, and you need a car for the big shop; the centre and Cargador beach are further away than from other parts of the town.
What is Residencial Sierra de Irta like?
Sierra de Irta is a complex with a pool whose communal areas are its highlight. According to the listings and reviews:
- Large pool area, with a children's pool and a jacuzzi.
- Free parking.
- Terrace in the apartments.
- Two-bedroom, two-bathroom flats, suitable for families.
- The penthouses have sea views and the ground-floor units have direct access to the pool.
Guests describe the complex as quiet and well kept. As there are several operators (Lloguers Altamar, Apartamentos 3000, Albert Villas or Interhome), the conditions of each apartment, such as the deposit, hours or whether pets are allowed, depend on who is renting it.
What do guests say about Residencial Sierra de Irta?
8.5/10 weighted average across booking sites · 23 reviews
| Website | Score | Reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com | 8.5/10 | 22 |
| Tripadvisor | 4.0/5 | 1 |
Public scores from each website, checked on octubre de 2026. They may have changed; see the source for the current score.
Almost all the reviews are on Booking.com (8.5 out of 10, 22 reviews), on the Lloguers Altamar listing. The other sources add little:
- TripAdvisor (4.0 out of 5) has a single review, from 2021, that seems to refer to a restaurant and not the accommodation, so it is an unreliable figure.
- Central de Reservas (Sierra de Irta 3000) has a listing, but no ratings.
- The Google listing is a rental type with no reviews.
In practice, the picture of the complex comes from the Booking reviews.
What is most appreciated. On Booking, staff scores 8.5 and facilities 8.4, the highest sub-scores. Guests highlight:
- A quiet, well-kept complex.
- The large pool area, with a children's pool and jacuzzi.
- The two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartments, comfortable for families.
- The sea views from the penthouses and the direct access to the pool from the ground-floor units.
- The ease of key handover and collection.
What is criticised. The lowest sub-score is cleanliness (6.8), followed by value for money (7.3) and location (7.5). Some guests point out:
- Cleanliness that could be better: smells, ants or dirty areas on arrival.
- Uncomfortable mattresses.
- Thin walls.
- That it is far from shops and you need a car for the big shop.
- An early check-out time and outstanding painting or maintenance in some units.
The typical guest profile is Spanish families and the odd customer from Nordic countries.
Booking.com sub-scores
| Aspect | Score |

| Facilities | 8.4 |
| Comfort | 7.6 |
| Location | 7.5 |

Unlike the Cargador buildings, here the location is not the best-rated feature: those who choose Sierra de Irta do so for the pool, the space and the calm, and what is most worth watching is cleanliness on arrival.
Our verdict on Residencial Sierra de Irta
Strengths
- Complete pool area, with children's pool and jacuzzi.
- Two-bedroom, two-bathroom flats, practical for families.
- Quiet complex, with free parking.
- Close to Las Fuentes beach and the Serra d'Irta.
Weaknesses
- Uneven cleanliness on arrival, according to several reviews.
- Far from shops: a car is almost essential.
- Mattresses and walls could be better.
Who it is ideal for. For families with children who want a pool and jacuzzi in the complex, two bathrooms and calm, and for anyone combining the beach with hiking or cycling in the Serra d'Irta. If you have no car or want to walk out for dinner every night, an apartment in the centre or at Cargador will suit you better.

Before booking at Sierra de Irta
- Plan your shopping. As it is far from shops, it is best to do the big shop on arrival, by car.
- Ask about the floor. If you want sea views, ask for a penthouse; if you travel with small children, a ground-floor unit with access to the pool may be more practical.
- Check cleanliness on entering and tell the operator if anything is wrong: it is the most repeated complaint.
- Confirm the check-out time, which some guests consider early.
The Serra d'Irta, the complex's natural neighbour
The complex takes its name from the range that begins north of Las Fuentes. If you stay here, it is worth knowing a little about it:
- What it is: the Serra d'Irta Natural Park, declared on 16 July 2002 as a Natural Park and Marine Nature Reserve. It covers land in Peñíscola, Santa Magdalena de Pulpis and Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre.
- The range: about 20 km long, with its summit at the Campanilles peak, 572 m, about 4 km from the sea.
- Flora: the dwarf fan palm, Europe's only native palm, dominates, alongside Aleppo pine woods, mastic and kermes oak. There are three flora micro-reserves, including the Pebret dune, with sea daffodil.
- Fauna: on the coast live Audouin's gull, a vulnerable species, and the great cormorant; in the range, raptors such as Bonelli's eagle and mammals such as the red squirrel and wild boar.
- Basic rules: no fires or camping, pets always on a lead, a 30 km/h speed limit on the tracks and priority for pedestrians.
The park's visitor centre is in Peñíscola; in Alcossebre you can get information at the Tourist Info, which is a partner information point.
