Residencial Vistamar, Alcocéber

Residencial Vistamar in Alcocéber is an apartment complex with a pool in the El Cargador and centre area, close to the town's main beach. Before going on, an important warning: Vistamar is a name shared by several listings and buildings in Alcossebre, and it is not always clear which one each ad refers to. On this page we explain what we have found and how to tell them apart. It is not managed by Casa Azahar; the page is informative and independent.

Where is Residencial Vistamar (and why are there several)?

Under the name Vistamar there are at least three references in Alcossebre (Alcalà de Xivert, Castellón):

1. Residencial Vistamar on open maps, in the El Cargador area. Its position matches the Google listing "Residencial Vistamar, Ap. Marejada", at 4 Bovalar street, which is for one specific apartment managed by Marejada.net.
2. Vistamar - Inalko, the Booking listing, advertised on Camino L'Atall ("sea view building"), also in the centre area but some distance from the previous one. It is the reference we associate with the operator Inalko.
3. Vistamar III and IV, blocks located in Las Fuentes, which have listings for individual apartments from another operator and which we have not included here.

The first two are in the Cargador-centre area and so we treat them together, but they may be different buildings. If you are interested in a Vistamar apartment, confirm the exact address with whoever is renting it to you.

In any case, the reference beach is El Cargador (Carregador): 850 m of fine sand, fully accessible, with a promenade, a dune system with sea daffodils, a sailing club and a Blue Flag uninterrupted since 1987. Camino L'Atall is also the street where the Alcossebre market is set up on Tuesday afternoons, from May to October.

Advantages of the area:

• El Cargador beach and the promenade close by.
• Shops, restaurants and services within walking distance.

Drawbacks:

• In July and August it is the busiest part of the town.

What is Residencial Vistamar like?

From the information in the two listings we checked, Residencial Vistamar has:

• A pool, described as quiet and suitable for families with children.
• Private parking.
• Wifi.
• Terraces and sea views from some apartments.
• Family rooms, according to Booking.

Guests describe the complex as lovely and quiet, and the apartments as cosy and well equipped. As the listings may be for different buildings, take these facilities as a guide only.

Reviews of Residencial Vistamar

The average of 9.3 out of 10 needs some context:

• Google (4.8/5, 24 reviews) is the listing for a single apartment in Residencial Vistamar, managed by Marejada.net. It speaks well of the complex and its surroundings, but reflects the experience in that specific home.
• Booking (7.3/10) is for Vistamar - Inalko and has only three reviews, too few to draw firm conclusions.

We have not found listings on TripAdvisor, Expedia, Atrápalo or Central de Reservas. For all these reasons, the overall average is not very representative: it is dominated by the Google listing and mixes two references that may not be the same building.

What guests like most. On Booking, the best sub-score is location (9.2), followed by staff (8.3). In the reviews for both listings, it is repeated that:

• the complex is lovely and quiet, close to the beach and with sea views;
• the pool is quiet and suitable for families with children;
• the apartments are cosy and well equipped;
• the location near services is good, and some guests return.

What is criticised. The criticisms come from the Booking listing, with only three reviews. The lowest sub-score is cleanliness (5.8). Some guests point out:

• poor cleanliness and dirty kitchenware;
• bed linen and towels with a surcharge and of poor quality, and a lack of transparency in the final price.

In short: the setting and the complex get good ratings; the few criticisms refer to cleanliness and the conditions of one specific operator.

Our verdict

• The El Cargador and centre area, with the beach and services within walking distance.

Weak points (according to the reviews)

• Few reviews, spread across listings that may be for different buildings.
• Criticism of cleanliness and surcharges on the Booking listing.

Who is it ideal for?

• Families with children looking for a quiet pool near the beach.
• Travellers who want the centre on foot and their own parking.
• If reviews are decisive for you, it is worth comparing with complexes in the area that have more ratings.

Tips if you are interested in Vistamar

1. Confirm the exact address: Bovalar street, Camino L'Atall or Las Fuentes are different locations.
2. Identify the operator (Marejada.net, Inalko or another) and read the reviews for that listing.
3. Ask what the price includes: bed linen, towels and final cleaning.
4. Ask for an apartment with a view if that is what you are looking for; not all have one.

What to do near Vistamar

From the centre area you can walk to the El Cargador promenade, the sailing club and paddle surf hire. Along the Senda Litoral you reach La Romana beach, 500 m of fine sand; to the north, the promenade leads to the Las Fuentes marina and its beach, with freshwater springs in the sand.

Beyond the marina begins the Serra d'Irta Natural Park, with about 12 km of unspoilt coastline as far as Peñíscola. From Cala Blanca, next to the lighthouse, start the walking route 2 (12.8 km, easy) and the Ruta del Cranc by bike (13.2 km, easy). In summer, access by car to the park's coast requires booking a space on the GVA Parcs Naturals app.

To eat, look for local cooking: tomata de penjar from Alcalà de Xivert, baked rice, suquet de peix and almond sweets. And for an excursion, Alcalà de Xivert (about 9 km, with its 68 m bell tower) or Peñíscola (about 32 km).

Vistamar compared with other complexes in the centre

To put the scores in context, these are the weighted averages of other complexes in the El Cargador area, according to the portals checked in October 2026:

Vistamar comes out well in the comparison, but with far fewer reviews and a score heavily reliant on the listing of a single apartment, so the comparison is only indicative.

When to go

The El Cargador area works at any time of year. In summer the average temperature is around 24.5 °C and the sea is around 25 °C, with the promenade at its liveliest. June and September are good months for the pool with slightly fewer people, and in spring and autumn (averages of 16 to 19 °C and more than 2,700 hours of sunshine a year, according to AEMET) you will want to walk along the Senda Litoral or in the Serra d'Irta.

How to get there

Via the AP-7 (exit 44, Alcossebre-Torreblanca) or the N-340 and the CV-142 you reach Alcossebre; the El Cargador and centre area is beside the promenade.

• Airports: Castellón (about 22 km, about 25 min), Valencia (about 123 km), Reus (about 145 km) and Barcelona (about 230 km).
• Train: Alcalà de Xivert station, about 10 km away.
• Bus: AMSA, Avanza (from Madrid) and HIFE (Castellón, Valencia, Zaragoza).

Casa Azahar, a local agency in Alcossebre that does not manage Vistamar, has these buildings in the El Cargador and centre area:

• Residencial Al Andalus: about 7 minutes from El Cargador, with a pool for adults and children and a large garden.
